I have a 13 2500. Bought it specifically because it had the 3500 12 frame and suspension instead of the new coil springs. They may ride better, but they sure do have a lot of linkage and bushings in the rear. Besides, I can't complain about mine. I have a 2200 lb payload. If that can't get the job done, I will just have to do a different job. I really see no need for a mega cab with the new 4th gen crew cabs. Mine has a ton of room and adults in the rear claim it is very comfortable. The Mega cab offers reclining rear seats though, so if you want that, you give up considerable payload and the option of a long bed. On the fifth wheel prep. Get that, it's worth it for that to be factory. Add a B and W companion and you won't regret it. I had a B and W turnover and companion installed in mine included with the sales deal and love it. I had a standard Reese with the bed rails in my other Ram. This is a little heavier, but it is built so much better. Good luck!
On the brand selection. My cousin has a Denali Dmax and loves it. I have the Ram and I like it. I am just concerned about the future with the emissions equipment. Delete kits are just now becoming available for the 13-14 Rams but are readily available for the Dmax. The kits for the 13-14 Rams are extremely expensive right now.
