I will comment on a couple of "facts" published earlier...
First, while all three use a HPFP manufactured by Bosch, only the Ram uses the time tested and well proven Bosch CP3 Series HPFP. Ford and GM both use the very problematic Bosch CP 4.xx series HPFP. There is no comparison between the CP3 and CP4 other than they are both manufactured by Bosch.
Regarding failure rates on the Bosch CP4.xx series HPFP, they fail...on all brands whether it is BMW, Porche, Ford, GM or VW...there is no denying this fact. There is a NHTSA ongoing investigation into Bosch and their 4.2xx series HPFP. Here are some additional facts; Porsche called the Bosche CP4.xx series pump used in their pricey Cayenne "delicate"...VW was forced into warranting all 4.2xx series failures or suffer a complete recall...GM warranties all 4.2xx failures without a hassle...and Ford stands alone sticking any customer they can with the $10,000 bill...oh..they may fix one here and there...but as an owner, you are automatically held in suspicion of improper vehicle maintenance or fueling issues...it gets ugly if you have been there...
...just the facts
...now on to the "F350 SRW vs F250 rear axle diameters...they have been the same for years...ther has never been a difference in recent history and are still the same today...I have never heard of anyone calling Ford a liar about this fact discrepancy in their sales literature...but the answer lies in the real knowledge of the truclks in question...
The F250 and F350 SRW both use identical rear axle assemblies produced on the same production lines using exactly the same parts. These axles are assembled at the Ford Sterling Axle Plant in Sterling Heights, Michigan. My BIL is the Assistant Plant Manager and the above facts came directly from him...
The F350 DRW truck uses a completely different rear axle assembly manufactured by Dana Corporation. The specification in the sales literature is correct for that axle assembly...If you look closely, there is no declaration of a separate rear axle assembly using the same spec's for axle size for the F350 SRW...and the F350 SRW truck clearly uses a Ford Sterling Assembly...
Again...just the facts...
Regards
