- 93Cobra2771ExplorerI checked numerous sources for stick built (pole barn) type and metal carport. Ended up going with metal carport. 20x40 with 12' legs. Made it big enough to go with bigger TT or fifth wheel in the future. Used a gravel pad. Metal carport was half the cost of a pole barn in my area. But oh so worth the money. Camper has ZERO black streaks all year around. Washed once or twice a year.
- Opie431ExplorerWe had a metal one installed also. Make it larger and taller than you think you need. Ours is on gravel which means I have go out and kill weeds that grow along the edges several times a year.
- wildtoadExplorer III live in a log cabin and wanted a carport for our two cars and 31 ft motorhome. Decided that a metal carport or building would look out of place. Had a carport built using trusses, 6x6 support poles, shingled to match house. Blends in wih the house and surrounding landscape. Has four ceiling lights, 30 amp plug as well as a 15 amp. Easily fits all three vehicles. The measurements are 12 ft 8 inches tall at the front. 24x24 for most of the area with an 8 ft extension in the middle which covers the back end of the mh.
Not cheap but worth it to me. - spoon059Explorer IIMine is getting installed today or tomorrow. Metal carport over a gravel pad.
- n7bsnExplorerI also went with a tall metal carport from a local dealer. They just anchor it to the ground. Since I already had a slab, they anchored to that.

We bought a 18X27 all metal carport from Tri State Canopy. Cost was around $1,50 installed with anchors. We get a strong east wind and it has held up well. I suggest going taller than what you think you will need. Also I added two feet of side wall to keep water & snow from blowing in the sides.
I'm interested in this also.
I assume you meant to type $1,500???
Did you put it on a slab, or gravel, or grass? - OasisbobExplorerWe bought a 18X27 all metal carport from Tri State Canopy. Cost was around $1,50 installed with anchors.
