If you're interested in trailers with slides as a starting point you may want to consider slides using the ACCU SLIDE mechanism verses the standard gear driven units. Accu-slides are much lighter and save weight overall. Clicj here: ACCU-SLIDE
Then consider Aluminum constructed side walls & floors. Many of the newer "super light weight" trailers are now using aluminum studs all welded together.
