The 7.3l's are in demand. They are great motors, able to make a decent amount of power and get good fuel economy yet not harnessed by all of the emissions garbage plaguing the newer diesels. But, I agree, I will not pay the asking price for one either, at 250k a lot of things need attention on the vehicle regardless of the engine condition. That is one of the reasons I will not buy a 4x4 7.3l Excursion.
I have been offered more for my truck then I paid for it - I have put 70k miles on it and enjoyed it for 5 years. I think this will be the first vehicle I have ever made money on!
