The after market is usually sufficient quality, however I don't compare most of them to OEM quality.
I used something similar to replace my driver's mirror after I smashed it backing up on a tree. On my grand Cherokee, replaced one after smashing it on a sign post when I was run off the road. Both of performed well for several years. However, I can tell the difference as they vibrate just a tad bit more.
But yes, I would buy after market again to save 1/2 the cost.
