- 1L243Explorer III understand excessive weight can be an issue on the back of the trailer. What I am looking for is a large platform so I can carry a folding trike bicycle and a regular bicycle. Weight will not be over 75lbs...not including the carrier...
The Lippert link provided is the carrier. - hohenwald48ExplorerHere's what Lippert offers

Fiver frames seem to be heavier and the TV on a fiver carries hitch weight over its rear axle opposed to the end of its bumper hitch with a TT.
I'm assuming that you have already looked into the weight distribution calculations re: adding weight to the rear effecting tongue weight on the TV .

If weight distribution on the hitch is not an issue on your TT , I would think a frame mount fabrication would be a more solid necessary application. See pics in below link.

Probably some of the weight is on the bumper but not most of it. Many people have learned the hard way that the bumper cannot support additional weight.

is it friday yet? wrote:
Have a local welding shop make one for you. Take your trailer to them and have them weld it to the frame.
That may not be the answer. If you have a frame like mine, it can barely handle a second coat of paint. - is_it_friday_yeExplorerHave a local welding shop make one for you. Take your trailer to them and have them weld it to the frame.
- Anmacc2ExplorerI too have a keystone. My bumper would not support a carrier like that. Might want to check if yours is?
