A travel trailer is a lot different than a mobile home. If you are going to live in one place without moving around, then get a mobile home. It will be cheaper to heat/cool and much more like living in a sticks and bricks home or apartment.
If you are going to be moving around at least every few months, than a travel trailer will work if you follow the weather. Heating a travel trailer in the north in the winter is not easy, cheap or comfortable.
