A realistic tongue weight for a 3000# TT is 500# and that's before you load the trailer up. You could easily hit 600# tongue weight. Trailer that size on a pathfinder, I'm pretty sure you are doing to need a WD hitch to tow safely, so that's another 100#.gmw photos wrote:
So what is the number in pounds as stated on the sticker ?
Pretty much nobody should ever listen to anything I say, except right now, when I'm sure I'm being accurate this time.
Here are the stickers.
Combined weight of occupants and cargo: 1149lb
That will leave you with 449# to cover yourself, 2 children, 2 dogs and anything else you pack in there.
It may be doable with careful loading, and a tongue scale to weigh it.. However safely? Not IMO.
Edited to add: what google/edmunds says is useless. They can only quote you manufacturer base model specs, every feature you add (power doors, sunroof..etc..etc..) will reduce the available payload. The only number that will be CLOSE to realistic is the number on your door jam, and that's only if you haven't added anything to the vehicle (running boards, dog gate, jumper cable, etc.). A scale is the only way to get really accurate.
