I think choosing is the hard part. 
TC don't have shows like other kinds of RV, where you can compare 5 or 10 different models in the same size in the same afternoon. 
I'd think forum dispute deserves pointing what you get from some option. 
Beside checking shower size and trone comfort, I am happy with single slide on 12' camper.
Single slide gives me comfortable dinette and no more tunnel vision. Most of them are fully useable with slide in. 
What you gain with double slide? Per my observation more floor space, but cut buck in storage, more weight and questionable use with slides in. 
I observe new RV at campgrounds. Some 5-ers have up to 5 slides, but they often are 6' wide, so not making much impression. 
Personally I like full wall slides and was invited in about 30' long TT that had dual full wall slides in the rear. My jaw drop when I saw fireplace, kitchen island and recliners with room to dance Polka. 
Than telescopic slides made it to campgrounds, although I have seen only 1. 
I take full wall single slide over double slides in small sizes any time.
