Lookng To biuy a toter

I am starting to look for a truck to tow out 5th wheel again.

We towed it all over while the kids were young and we loved it. As they got older they didn't want to go anymore. So after one year of it sitting on the side of the house the wife and I decided to put our RV on a site and since my 7.3 Ford was getting old I knew I didn't want to tow with it much more.

So it's time to get another truck and start out on trips again and in a few years a new 5th wheel.

The one thing I didn't like with the Ford was breaking so I am looking for something a little bigger.

I have been in the truck parts and repair my whole adult life so I know what I want.

So with all that said if anyone knows of or comes across an

Navistar international 4 door Crew cab
2007 or older with a DT466 or DT530
Auto transmission
Air ride

Please let me know

Thank you

Rick
  • I'll have to keep an eye on escapees forum

    Thanks

One of the reasons I want a 2007 or older is the engine. The newer engine just don't gave the reliability any more. Too many sensors and such.

Besides after hitting the RV show a few weeks ago there is a good chance the new RV is going to be heavy.
  • If I may correct you dutchmansport a directlink brake controller does 'integrate ' with the truck via the obd port.
It is the only one I know of.
dieselhp- have a look over at the escapees for sale forum ,I see them there once in a while.
  • You may be specific in what you are looking for, but let me say, newer trucks with the integrated brake controller is absolutely SWEET! Truck and trailer truly operate as one vehicle. Secondary or add-on break controllers just don't do it. Something to be said about getting a newer truck! Kids are gone! Time to spoil YOURSELF now!
