....I have been doing precisely this approach since day 1 of camper new, when driving off-camber roads / trails. I personally would never do off-camber or truck frame twisting driving without working the 4 tie-downs to be appropriate to the road surface, risking wrecking our camper / tub framing. This is what I do; everyone has to decide for themselves how to approach this, based on myriad / infinite possible conditions, and camper size, build and weight.
