Bryan, the one time my 2010 F450 (same engine as yours) acted like that it turned out to be one of the EGT sensors had failed, and the trucks computer kneecapped the engine to a very low power output. Could only get about 5 psi of boost out of it. I was able to drive it (slowly) to the next town that had a Ford dealership and get it fixed. The "check engine" light didn't illuminate until AFTER I had turned the truck off and back on. The truck was out of warranty, but that sensor turned out to be covered by the longer EPA mandated pollution controls warranty, so it didn't cost me anything to fix. It wouldn't have been a costly fix even if the warranty hadn't covered it.
If the truck will move without puking fluids, belching smoke, or making scary noises, I'd probably drive it to the nearest service.
I sincerely hope this is relatively minor problem for you, and you are back on the road quickly.
