Had regular fluid changes over its lifetime, I guess nothing lasts forever. Did a bunch of reading over the weekend and there a more than a couple things that could be wrong with it...ranging from the simple to the complex. One possibility is that the engage pin on the reverse servo wears down, and the fix is drop the pan, remove the reverse servo and weld 1/8" on to the end of the pin and re-install. the more complex is that the reverse band could be shot, but getting to that requires removing and disassembling the unit...so if you do that you may as well replace the other soft parts as well. Goes back to not be able to find a rebuilder anyone would recommend in the area.
Good news is that I work from home normally and didn't have any appointmenst this week....I get good Verizon 4G service here at the CG so I'll be working from the TT for the next few days.
Dropped the truck off this morning, my daughter picked me up and drove me back to the CG, I'm stuck here solo until she comes back fro me Wed morning. Hope the beer holds out....
In fact I may be here longer...I just replaced the brake and fuel lines due to rust, if the trans lines are bad too, well, "I'm gonna hafta order those..."
