That's the problem with "special orders".

All it takes is the original order to get lost in mail (whatever form), lost in house at Ford plant, incorrectly entered into computer for production, etc. It most likely never got made. :M

Since 1963 I have had close to 40 different vehicles. Never would I consider a special order. Most dealers I have dealt with locally here are able to check stock of other dealers and get the model equipped the way I wanted delivered to them in a day or two. Been there, done that.

You most likely have learned your lesson about special ordering. :B

I've bought vehicles since 1965. In that time I've factory ordered two. Both came on time, both were exactly as ordered. I was very happy with getting exactly what I ordered.

They were both Chevrolets.

I saw it hooked to a Chevy tow truck.
