I'm not defending really loud generators but thinking it may not be as simple an issue as it appears. Used to have a trailer and a 2000 Honda generator and I always felt comfortable that the noise level was OK. Now we have a used Class C MH with an Onan 4000 generator. To me it seems a little louder than I would like maybe because it sets right under us when we are inside. You might think it's loud or not but I'm not going to go out and spend the money to replace it. It's the one that came with the MH and seems within acceptable limits.
