I use a 2200 watt Yamaha generator when dry camping. It's pretty quiet though it won't run the A/C but does run all the lights, TV, radio and keep the battery charged up. The thing I noticed about some campers is even if they have a quiet generator their A/C makes more noise than the generator. Plus if they are the inconsiderate type of camper their TV or radio noise overpowers both the generator and A/C together. Have to say though this only happens to us on long weekends at the Colorado River in Parker, AZ. :)
