I'm still wondering what the 'new breed' camper is.
Is it the 70 year old man in the truck camper next to us at Assateague who started his generator at 7AM and dumped his gray water on his site a few times a day?
Or was it the fulltiming couple in their 60s who started the generator at 7AM (cover open) and ran it all day in the everglades, past generator hours, until someone banged on their door to shut them up? The same fulltiming couple with the HDT that needed to be idled at their site for 30 minutes before they drove it? The same couple with the yippy dog who howled for 6 HOURS until they came back?
Who is this 'new breed' of camper? We have only been land camping for less that five years (we previously camped on our boat). Are we 'new breed' campers? We have solar and lots of batteries and run our generator once every six months at most. I'm confused.
I think rudeness, as evidenced in this thread, transcends age and experience. Common courtesy and situational awareness come from wisdom, which is in short supply these days.
