Low cold air flow

I just purchased a 2007 Coachman Spirit of America travel trailer. A/C cold air pours out of a couple ceiling vents, but others have nothing. I'm not that handy, but what should I do to correct this?
  • if you can,t track down the duck work ,and make sure its not smashed some where,, call a mobil tech in your area. most are oretty smart guys and they don,t charge like a dealer does.
  • As your new, the mobile rv tech is an excellent idea, and you are bound to come up with more issues, if the great people of RV net can't help then the mobile rv tech will be the next best option.
  • How would I track down the duct work? The air vents seem to be glued to the ceiling.

Take down ceiling outlets and use a flashlight and mirror to look for obstructions, major leaks or poor workmanship. The outlets may be snapped in, or the cover snapped on, if there is no screws.
  • I know it may seem obvious, but I'd check the return air(intake) filter first. Then, I'd close all vents and open / close them one at a time. If you're still not getting air at some of the vents, the duct is likely kinked.

    Good luck
  • I'd suggest to check both the filter cleanliness and the plenum directly above the filter. You should have a panel that divides cabin air intake and cold air output. Make sure those are totally separate and that the connections to ducting are secure.
  • Remove the vent cover, reach into the duct to find obstruction. If you can't find it by reach use a vac hose. Each outlet should have flow. Only the assembler knows what lies beyond the bend.
