Lowering a Ram 2500 2 in.

Does anyone know how to lower a '16 Ram 2500 ? Truck sits too high. I tow a 5th wheel nose high. I can't raise 5th wheel because it is 13.5 ft tall. I tried adjusting pin box and hitch but can't get good rail clearance. A 2 in drop would really help.

How much rail clearance do you have? You only really need 6” I most cases.

Strange, I thought the 2500 had coil springs?
  • I too, have a 2016 Ram that's high. Raised the fifth wheel 3 inches with a professional box frame. Our trailer towed taller in front, and the pin box rubbed the side of the bed rails when turned sharply before the modification.
The highest point on our trailer is the front most vent cover. Our trailer slopes down towards the rear to where the AC is located. I "think" that if you raised the axles or suspension, it wouldn't change the overall height much--if the tall spot is in front.
Maybe, if you found a level spot, measured the height, then backed the tires up on blocks--then re measured again?
The highway standard seems to be 13'6'. Trees are the problem mostly for us.
    Good luck.
