Not necessarily true about the credit union. My wife's credit union wouldn't touch our first RV purchase (a 4 year old used HitcHiker LS), even though we put 1/3 of the agreed purchase price down in cash.
Wound up financing the balance with State Farm Bank, who beat local commercial banks and the so-called specialty RV financing outlets like Essex Credit. - GoldstalkerExplorerB of A has really good rates.
