LP Gas Detector

Anybody know if there is a way to test these, I pulled out my refrigerator for a repair and the LP detector kept going off ,it might have been residual gas since I disconnected gas hose from back of fridge ( telling me it works) or a low battery causing it . I just want to be sure Thanks

    I've had to replace the propane detector in our pervious 5er it was ten years old did the same last winter on our present 5yr old. Guess they don't make them like they use to.

    Low battery will cause it. Also, they age out, so check the age of if you take it out.
