LT or P Tires ?
My old stock Wrangler AT "P" rated 265 70R 17 tires are up for replacement. I know the "LT" are optimum for towing, but was wondering if I really need them? Cost is not a factor between the P and L...

If you had no issue with the P's previously, why change? You tow only so often, and with a fairly "light" travel trailer in relation to your truck. So I just dont see LT's improving anything unless you get a bigger TT.
As much as LT's are favored for towing, they are not for everyone. And I actually think you have more to lose than gain. Ride comfort, noise and a slight risk of lower MPG are factor's I'd think about.
