Aside from the XPS rib that has a speed rating reduction to 75 MPH when used on a trailer,
That is obviously not a tire limitation as it doesn't state it on the tire. (as all STs plainly state on the sidewall)
It is more of a CYA label... IE: If you get in a accident towing at more than 75 MPH.... We didn't recommend it so we are not liable
not an answer to the question but,
other than the Marathon the only GY tire recommended for trailer use in 16 inch or less is the G614 RST in LR G and 110PSI…

so evidently the LT designation is not an endorsement, and its not a recommendation for trailer use then what is it… it must be a limitation…
I believe that is widely true for tires of most makes in the US market…
