For LT tires in a 15" I believe they are only in a "C" rating. anything bigger and you need 16" rims. I was going to go to LT`s and did some research, but no LT "D" or "E" on a 15" rim. so I just went to the standard ST`s. I am replacing tires again this year, Carlisle ST 225 75 15 LR "E". I got 5 years and approx. 11k miles out of these tires. so hopefully these will be the last ones until we upgrade to a motor home.
The Carlisle ST225/17-R15 Trailer RT is my first choice for replacement trailer tires in this tire size. The redesign of this tire was done using the DFSS, Design for Six Sigma system. The final design should be optimized based on the critical characteristics of the tire system. I am trained in DFSS and would very much like to review their project. I can only wonder what their noise strategy is.
