And still no answer to,
So what did you guys say to your sales man when he told you or you will have to stop on the way home and buy safe tires for your new rig???
Just exactly where on the mfg. web site or in their catalogs have any of these tires been recommended for trailer use???
like if the tire mfg. will not assume the added liability, why should I???
now let me get this straight…
we have for profit companies that have a better tire for our trailer use, but they would rather keep it a secret from you…
it’s a lawful product and they will whisper that its better in your ear, but can’t tell you so out loud… :h:h:h
one of the free market mysteries of all time…
and you are the same people saying a local dealer should do warranty work for the local resident that bought foreign…
why is it so many have never had a ST tire on the road failure.???
Lets look at this from a company profit point of view. They can sell us heavy users a ST tire at 80% of the price of an LT tire that has to be replaced at 10,000 miles or 3 to 5 years whichever comes first or sell us a LT tire which may last more that twice as long that doesn't have to be replaced for 40,000 to 50,000 miles or maybe even more. Their profit $$'s are probably more on an ST Tire vs an LT tire and they get to sell us 4 to 5 times as many tires during our lifetime of using RV's. If you were running the company which one would you promote?
The reason ST Tires exist is because the RV Manufacturers demanded a lower cost tire for low mileage users, not one that was better!
