I don't need to have an opinion. I can look it up in the Tire and Rim Association yearbook.
For LT tires: Speed range vs inflation pressure vs % increase in load:
66 to 75 mph - +10 psi - No change in load
56 to 65 mph - No change in pressure - No change in load
46 to 55 mph - No change in pressure - +9% increase in load

That first entry is the equivalent of a +10% load increase, so overall the difference is about 20% going from 50 mpg to 75 mph.
Note: The difference in load carrying capacity between an ST and LT is about 20%.
