I know I said I was done, but a certain line of thought keeps creeping back into this discussion by a certain poster which is misleading at least, and more likely downright incorrect. Sigh.

Yes, I've seen that quoted before...and well you may sigh. Not a single one of the addresses provided goes to a page where the words quoted can be found. When copied/pasted, they all lead to this dead end. And simply searching "FMCSA Part 571, subsection 109" does the same thing.
What gives?
What gives ? Well, if a person digs thru the FMCSA website, they state in there they are rebuilding their site and some links may not work. So that's apparently what gives.
The point is, the research has been done. Numerous times. I'm not going to go back in and do your homework for you.
We go over this again and again, and sadly, many new people here only get confused by what gets posted.
I suppose what I really should say is something like this: go buy some tires, then go pull your trailer. A lot.
See what works for you. See what fails for you. Ask your friends and clients, for instance at your horse barn, where there are lots of trailers.
Then come back in ten years. Again in twenty years, again thirty and forty years.
Yes.....that describes me. I may not be the most experienced here. And I'm not the oldest. But I "have" been pulling trailers since 1969. Lots of different trailers, my own, and other folks trailers. I currently have four trailers. One camper, one bumper pull horse trailer, one gooseneck equipment trailer, and one gooseneck horse trailer with living quarters and fours stalls.
For whatever little it may be worth to you Francesca, I will say I run LT tires on all of them. They work. For me.
Take it for what it's worth, but I know from our many conversations, I am not going to change your mind. If you wanna run ST tires on your small fiberglass egg camper....more power to you, and I sincerely wish you safe travels for many (s)miles, and many camping trips.
Over and out.
