Made the switch from TT to TC

Congrats, most people suggest trying it out first. I doubt you will have an issue.

Congratulations on the new camper it appears to be very well set-up looking at Artum Snowbird's link. You should have no problem making many excellent camping memories with that set-up! Can't wait to see the pics and your first trip report.

I've been in, around, and camped in truck campers off and on for 20 years. Still, it's a big leap from a tt.

Life is easier in a TC, IMHO.

Wait until you get it loaded before you start making changes!

Try it out, figure out how everything works then decide if you need to change things. Couple of immediate things to have, leveling blocks ( I carry two ten packs 4 squares of 2x6 pads for under the jacks. spare batteries for the jack remote, a 2way level of some sort, pots and pans that are the correct size to fit the oven burners. And most importantly prepare to toss the stock mattress for something comfortable (best upgrade I made). But most of all don't let the fear of I haven't done this before stop you from doing or trying things. This, contrary to popular opinion is not rocket science, it is pure fun.

If stumped sit back have a beer and then take a second look, if still stumped ask here in the forum.

Congrats on making the leap. I don't think you will regret it, especially since you will have a well matched combo.

Since you haven't maxed out the weight capacity of the truck, actually have a pretty good margin, I would wait on any modes until you see how it rides. I think about the only two mods you will want to make is a set of stable loads to help prevent the sag and more importantly a rear anti-sway bar to help with the side-side motion. But these things can definitely wait.

Suggest you weigh the combo on the way home, then again as you leave for your third or fourth trip. You will either pat your self on the back for packing light or shock yourself with how much weight you added.

Your new TC is very similar to the EC850 I'm hauling on my Ford LB DRW truck. I have no mods on mine and it hauls very well. I suspect you will be just fine as DRW trucks have a much better spring package and stability "factor" for hauling our size and larger TC's. Good luck, hope to see you around.
