The OEM trans cooler in the 3rd Gen 5.9 Ram is already quite large. See pic below of it revealed with the AC condenser hoisted up out of the way.
The pic above I provided earlier isn't my truck, I pulled it off the Cummins forum. But the thermostat built into the OEM trans cooler that many have taken out and cleaned and thus gotten lower trans temps, is at the right end of that built in line running across the top of the trans cooler, right above the rachet you see hanging there.
