I would look at jumping from the positive side of the battery to the slide switch to see if you can at least get the slide out in an emergency. If you could rig up a fuse in the jumper wire that would even be better.
Once you get the slide out working, then you could tear into things to find the problem.

This is exactly what I did and I did get the slide to move out. I tried to trace
the problem as to why there was no power to the switch, but couldn't
find a break in that connection anywhere. The wires coming of that
switch to the motors are a heavy gage size which led me top believe that
they were powering the motors directly. Slide moved out with out
issue and better yet, when I reversed polarity, it came back in. Back to
Disney for another full day. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.
