HMMM...fishing...went like this.
You have to understand this lake. This is the clearest water I have ever seen. The fish see you long before you see them (that is my story and I am sticking to it) He wanted to fish shallow up the river and I wanted to be down in the main lake. He usually wins these battles.
Day 1. Club tournament with about 10 people in 6 boats. My husband and I are in the same boat, yet fish against each other. He was doing well...I was not. That does NOT lend itself to a good day for anyone! At least I didn't blank. Caught 2 in the last 2 hours.
Day 2. Different deal. We fished as a team. And went to a different part of the lake. I started off with a bang and had 3 keepers in no time. The next were a little more difficult but I felt better about myself when I ended up catching 4 of the 5 we brought in. Not in the money, but less stress for all. I admit it...I am a bad partner with my husband. I can fish with a total stranger for 9 hours and not catch fish and not be stressed!
I got a little practice in driving the boat with alot of traffic. This weekend, a girlfriend and I are a team in a local tournament that will be a nut house! Over 120 boats plus all the pleasure boaters that will be on the water. We just want to come out of it alive, but it sure would be nice to hold our own against all the boys.
Sharkman, I don't see us ever regretting it.
ps.I know where there is a nice one if you want to pm me
