Enjoy your trip with your Dad... I sure miss boating with mine. I did go with he and Mom, and did most of the driving, planning for a 10 day trip in their MH when Dad was about 88. Talked about it until he died. Makes the memories so much sweeter, and helps me not remember the stresses during the trip.
