I have been "un-camped" at the same site for 2 years now. The pin on my drain pipe is very hard to get to with the sides out so I leave it pulled out all the time. Since I have "unlimited" water, extra water in the toilet will prevent the "pyramid". The key is to make sure there is enough water in the toilet to flush the solid stuff down the drain.
I use the adapter picture in a early posting to connect to my solid 3' pvc pipe.
Since I am "un-camped" in an open field, my septic system is a 55 gallon drum with about 40 - 60 feet of black drainage pipe for field lines.
