And now that I'm at work: Joe417 is right - one pin is smaller than the other 3 on the receptacle; and when I attempted to plug in the new "Tow Smart" (looks identical to Hopkins or Bargman) round 4-pin plug - it doesn't fit. The plug diameter is smaller than the receptacle's. No sweat - I bought the "kit" with both the plug and its matching receptacle. I'll just have to switch that over. Must be that Palomino used a proprietary plug back then?
