Interesting points:
Businessweek
Basically, Ram needs to give their trucks away to sell them. I just saw in the local paper that Ram is offering AGAIN a no charge cummins + other incentives in the HD trucks!
Maybe Fiat/Chrysler can offer the larger discounts because their manufacturing costs are much lower being in Mexico? I myself prefer to contribute to the north american economy as much as possible.
I bought my half-ton Silverado at $12,000.00 off sticker. RAM isn't the only manufacturer to deeply discount trucks. GM was discouting their trucks like crazy in th 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 model years. RIGHT NOW-RAM is a better truck-discounts or not. BTW-My Silverado-it's made in Mexico. You post really shows a lack of research.
Now-GM is trying to say their trucks are better than anyone elses-and we want you to pay for it. Well-the sales chart says something different-doesn't it?
Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to the HD trucks.. I don't RV with half ton trucks!
7 out of 10 vehicles GM makes are made in China. LINK TO VIDEO
Ford's powerstroke diesel engine is made in Mexico. It's called a global economy, and it is the way things are going.
