If that is true, then you can probably also afford a run around car too. You are not likely to get an additional vehicle for "free" at those miles per year, but there are benefits to having a third vehicle. However, if you can afford to drive an additional vehicle, do you want to? I'm at a point in my life where I want to enjoy myself. I don't want to spend my commuting time in the least expensive vehicle. I could save money with different choices than our two main vehicles, but my wife and I like them.
