Lots of factors, as others have mentioned. It isn't just the cost of the vehicle and cost of the gas. Insurance, maintenance (both vehicles), repairs. Plus what do you want to drive, what do you like, etc.
I suspect in this case, it would come down to the latter -- the numbers are going to be close enough that it would just be what you want do do -- drive the truck or drive a car.
I actually just went back to driving a truck. The amount I was 'saving' driving the car wasn't worth the trade-off of not driving what I wanted to drive.
