Maxx Air 2 vs. Maxx Air

Currently we have no covers on our vents, I would like to go with the color smoke, not sure if anyone can give a yeah or nay for that.

Not sure it's worth the extra $$ to upgrade to the MaxxAir 2 vent covers or not.

Thanks in advance. Dan

We have a black vent over our bedroom roof vent area. The dark color allows us to sleep in longer. I'd recommend black in bedrooms and white over bathroom vent covers. I'd also recommended tinted windows on bedroom windows as well....

    X2 Love my MaxAirIIs! :)

  • Thanks everyone, I am going to measure them tomrrow after work to make sure they will fit. Not sure about the fanastic fan, I have a fan in the bathroom, it works fanastically... lol

I was giong to go with Smoke for the bunk house and our bedroom and maybe a white for the bathroom....

I like the hinged brackets on the 2. Came in handy when I had to replace a vent cover that went to pieces.

I have both. IMO X2 on the hinged brackets being worth the $. They make it much easier to access the vent for cleaning.
  • If light inside the unit is a concern go with the white.

If you have a Fantastic fan on your trailer, the MaxxAir II will be needed because it's height is greater than the original MaxxAir cover. Apparently the MaxxAir won't allow the cover on the Fantastic fan to fully open. We bought our Jayco WhiteHawk last November and the service manager at the dealer informed us the MaxxAir II was needed for the Fantastic Fan we wanted installed. Guess he was right, the fan opens fully under the MaxxAir II and works fine.

Be sure the MaxxAir 2 will fit. I was able to buy MaxxAir 2 vent cover cheaper than the MaxxAir, which was fine, except on one of my air vents was too close to a vent pipe and wouldn't fit, so I'm going to have to get an MaxxAir to put on that air vent which is also the bathroom with a fan.
