I had a fifth wheel and put on Maxxis tires, because of the hype, that had been going around.
I had a Cross Roads Cruiser 29RK, and it weighed real close to 10,000 pounds when we hit the road. after 18 to 20,000 miles, they were wearing well, but I noticed the RH front looked funny. "Broken Belt" I put on one of my 2 spares and came home. I jumped through hoops trying to get it replaced under warranty. went to several so called dealers, with no help.
Finally Discount Tire Direct( where they were purchased) got involved and I got it warranted. I don't think that they are neccesiraly better than some others.
These were 225/75R15E, running with 70 psi, and never over 65mph.
Just my .02
