Chances are most tires will need to be replaced due to time rather than worn out or blown out. I ran USA made GY Marathons for 10,000 miles on our last TT. I just put over 4000 miles on our new 5'er this year. It came with China bomb Marathons. Both sets were/are wearing fine. Could've got 3000+ out of the USA Marathons. I will run the China bomb Marathons till they wear out.
Not saying Maxxis aren't good or even better, but like lots of things on the internet they tend to get blown out of proportion.
Just curious why we never see Maxxis tires on brand new TT's or 5'ers? Certainly if they were all that much better it would seem to be a better selling point.
