Maxxis makes one trailer tire, M8008. There have been no scientific tests done on trailer tires, so all we have isowner feedback.
Maxxis makes great ATV tires, recreation and racing. Does that mean they make great passenger car or trailer tires? Nope! Bridgestone Blizzak is the most well known and popular winter tire for a couple decades. Does that mean all Bridgestone tires are awesome? Cehck out the Turanza EL4xxx. Michelin makes some of the best performance and all season tires too, but they make some below average tires too. There is no logical reason to imply any given tire model performance will follow what another model of the same brand has.
