Mercedes has for years made one of the worlds best and most rugged class 8 heavy duty trucks for a global market. They also make many very dependable medium duty trucks used all over the world and many in places where an American truck would last about 6 months. (Think the Congo, Libya, etc)
They are MORE than capable of producing a high quality HD pickup if they wish. This is a market entry model for them. One they see will sell best in a GLOBAL market place NOT just North America...therefore it is not your typical Ford F250....
