Every 4WD truck is also a 2WD, except it’s got twice the drive traction available at any time.
How is that not a huge advantage?
The hillier the terrain, the less of anywhere 2WDs go. We see it every winter around here.
Another of my favorites I’ve witnessed several times: driving up the mountains on the highway in winter. You’re putting power to the tires because of the uphill, and break traction and wipe out. If youre in 4-hi, it doesn’t happen.
You never see anyone with a 4WD go “Oh, it’s slippery through here, I better take it out of 4x4 and put it in 2” lol.
