Mileage change with smaller lighter trailer

Yes. I honestly think that you should see at least a 1 mpg improvement. BTW, my X has always towed in O/D. It only hunted when it had the stock tune. After I put in the 5Star towing tune it made a world of difference! I even gained .5 mpg towing.
Just this year I came across a wind deflector for the top of the X that pushes the air up and over the trailer. With just that alone I gained approx 1.5 mpg and it made the X feel like it had another 30 HP because it was working more efficiently. I averaged 8.3 mpg going to Myrtle Beach. Far better than the 6.8 I posted back on the first page.
