Good for the owner/driver and his vehicle the Toyota pickup.:)
There are a number of million mile vehicles out there and it's quite an achievement, both by owner/driver and particularly the vehicle. Here's one, that racked up a million miles in a tough climate....lot's of extreme cold and heavy winters.
Million mile GMC
In my town there was also a million + mile early '90's Dodge 3/4 ton, used to transport RV trailers.
I also recall a '90's Econoline E 250 with the 5.4 V8 rolling over a million miles.
Then there's New Yorker Irv Gordon's famous, '66 Volvo P1800 sports car. Over 3 million miles and still going. He's had it since 1966.
As the article about the GMC says, the key seems to be regular maintenance and an owner who is conscientious about getting the services done.
I would add that I would say the owner/drivers of these million plus milers, are also reasonable drivers who drive their vehicles within it's design limits.
