Mistaken ideas about how a diesel engine works

Diesel's used to just be plain old air pumps. Fuel to run the pump, more fuel + more air = more power. They had smoke to prove it. Everything was mechanical.

Then along comes electronics. Controls for everything. Sensors for this and that. Computers uck.

Now you got urea. It's all about chemistry. If it wasn't for the computer you'd have to get a beaker and Bunsen burner.
