Sounds like the independently owned service department is to blame (almost always run as a separate business from the dealership.) x2 for Don's suggestion - buy the part from Napa or Amazon if timing is that important
Of the last three Dodge/Ram I've owned, the Charger was the worst for QC. How fun is it to have the computer open your trunk while you're driving down the road, or the computer lock and unlock the doors while the car is parked until the battery goes dead.
They eventually got all that sorted out, six months later I traded it for a pickup. This pickup ran fine for three years, only warranty work was replacing a leaking shock tube. Now the new pickup, too early to tell, 3000 miles so far so good?
