Don't panic yet-take your truck to a facility and check and clear codes. Some trans valve bodies do have electric servos and sensors. If you do have this issue, replace only the sensor/servo. Sometimes a loose fuel cap can trigger the check engine light. Not all mechanics are capable of reading the correct codes. Ram trucks are just like Ford and Chev. Computer controlled just begs for problems.
