Sorry to hear about your issues and the impact on your vacation.
All makes have issues. Not just ram. The 15 Silverado i had before my ram had 3 recalls in the first 6 months and several more the dealer played off as "normal"
That was extremely frustrating, so GM is no better by my experience. I have friends with newer Ford's that have been back to the dealer for warranty work too, they are far from perfect.
Any mass produced item will have issues. My truck has been great so far. No issues. Especially none of the stupid stuff the Chevy did that GM swore up and down was normal and refused to fix. Total BS.
I hope you figure out some alternate plans and can still enjoy your vacation.
